This page is for those who want the instruction to fold a traditional origami stem.

This origami stem is for novice. You can put a flower on top of the stem. This stem is usually being used for a traditional origami tulip.

If you are ready, then let's get started.

If you find any bugs on this instruction, please send an email to HyoAhn's email.

You may use any kind of paper to fold this origami stem. Here I am using the same color paper for both the front and the back sides. But you could use one side color only paper without any problem. Make sure the paper that you use is a square (all sides are equal and all the angles equal 90 degrees). The paper I am using here is 15cm x 15cm square one.

Flower Stem

I shield you from the breeze,
Hold you when you sneeze
In case you snap,
Break down at my knees,
Collapse and give up hope.

I saw you bloom,
A bright and shining flower
In your day,
Then I watched you wilt
And lose your petals,
Colour fading as your winter came.

You must lie in barren soil
At night-
You are so weak,
Too weak to win the fight,
The game we play called Life,
Survive.

It hurts to watch you suffer,
Your colours were always so unique,
But now you grow ever-closer
To the perfect image you so desperately seek.
