Heavy is the salty air, spraying a mist and dampening your hair.
Clouds roll by as you lay upon the beach,
Another day in heaven this must be.
To feel the sand beneath your toes,
Wiggling and squirming to bury the woes.
The warmth of the sun brings a sleepy haze,
And a snip at your toes brings you out of your daze.
Small is the hermit crab, peeking from it's lair,
You're in its way! It seems to dare.
A wonderful seashell streaming of silver, blue and gold,
A magnificent sight of nature, wondrous to behold.
The hermit crab and it's home, the shape of a pristine bell,
None other like it,
Unique is the seashell.
