Kawasaki origami rose flower

This page is for those who want the instructions to fold a new swirl Kawasaki's rose flower. This version is based on the "new kawasaki's rose" and the modification is done on the center region with swirly effect. I recommend you to master "new Kawasaki's rose" before tackle on this rose.

If you find any bugs on this instruction, please send an email to HyoAhn's email.

You may use any kind of paper to fold the Kawasaki rose flower. It is recommended to use a paper with the same color and texture for both front and back sides. The reason is that a part of back side will be shown in the final model. Make sure the paper that you use is a square (all sides are equal and all the angles equal 90 degrees). The paper I am using here is 20cm x 20cm square one.

Beginning part of the folding sequence (up to the steps #46) is exactly the same as the new Kawasaki's rose and you can skip this. Click here if you want to land on the page of the step #46.

TO THE KIND READER

No one talks more than a Poet;
Fain he'd have the people know it.

Praise or blame he ever loves;
None in prose confess an error,
Yet we do so, void of terror,

In the Muses' silent groves.

What I err'd in, what corrected,
What I suffer'd, what effected,

To this wreath as flow'rs belong;
For the aged, and the youthful,
And the vicious, and the truthful,

All are fair when viewed in song.

Poem by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
