Easy Valentine's Origami Paper Rose Flower


Valentine's Day is coming up. If you are planning to make an origami paper rose for Valentine's Day, then "Lovely Rose" would be an excellent choice since it is very easy to fold compare to other roses. (1) Try to make this rose first, (2) calyx, (3) leaf, and (4) stem.

If we track a single rose flower in chronological orde, it can be divided into five stages: budding, early half-bloom, mid half-bloom, late half-bloom , and full bloom. This is the reason why we have five different origami roses at Bloom4ever: (1) budding: spiral rose, (2) early half-bloom: standard rose, (3) mid half-bloom: QT rose, (4) late half-bloom: swirl rose, (5) full bloom: Clara's rose. The spiral rose (or rosebud) was designed by Hyo Ahn. This rose simulates rosebud which means that it is the youngest family member of all origami rose flowers. The beginning part of folding is similar to that of folding the standard rose. It is fairly simple to fold except the spiral part. Let's get started.

This QT rose simluates mid half-bloom rose flower where the center part of rose opens a quite a bit but the petals not extended outward yet. The begining part of folding is the same as Kawasaki rose so if you have folded Kawasaki rose before, then it would be easy to follow.
