Wilted Lavender Iris



A second doesn't go by,
Where waking from this dream
is improbable.
Reality isn't the cure for reverse insomnia;
One pedal falls, two remain.

A minute doesn't go by,
Where same and different hone
the same meaning.
I did enjoy the contrary momentarily;
In a quick glance, one remains.

A memory doesn't go by,
It had its
ups and downs.
But remember to not forget them.
A quiet thud was heard,
No one stopped to care.
