Origami Flowers



Jelly beans as wedding favours,
Origami flowers,
A wind-up band,
Extended hands,
We danced 'till morning hours.

Rings of solid silver love,
Mother's old lace dress,
A kiss to last,
Some photographs,
The feel of your caress.

Money was in short supply,
But wealth was all around,
Our future bright,
As we held tight,
Our hearts a single sound.
