This page is for those who want the instructions to fold Pretty Rose.  This origami rose may not be simple to fold since it is not from the bird-base. But I am showing this rose since it is inherited from a base which is similar to the regular bird-base folding sequence.

You may use any kind of paper to fold this rose (*it is better if the front and the back side of the paper are the same in both texture and color since there will be an overlap between the front and the back sides).

Make sure the paper that you use is a square (all sides are equal and all the angles equal 90 degrees). The paper I am using here is 20cm x 20cm square one.

When you use a 20cm x 20cm paper, the rose becomes quite large, it is about 10cm x 10cm x 4cm.

The Rose Family

The rose is a rose,
And was always a rose.
But the theory now goes
That the apple's a rose,
And the pear is, and so's
The plum, I suppose.
The dear only know
What will next prove a rose.
You, of course, are a rose--
But were always a rose.
